Widening Participation Tutors 2024-25

We are currently recruiting for WP Tutors! WP Tutors will lead on the delivery of our two in-school attainment programmes which are launching in February 2025; Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Accelerate (Maths) and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Next Chapter (Literacy).

There are two roles currently being advertised:

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Accelerate Tutors (Maths)

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Accelerate is a 10-week Mathematics tutoring programme developed by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’s Widening Participation team. It is an in-school tutoring programme, in which trained Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Accelerate Tutors will go into schools and work with small groups of Year 10 students on Maths resources, with the aim of increasing attainment. These resources have been created by our partner organisationsÌýto form the basis of the tutoring sessions.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Accelerate Tutors will deliver personalised instruction to Year 10 state school pupils from underrepresented backgrounds, helping them grasp mathematical concepts, enhance their problem-solving skills, and achieve measurable progress by the end of the programme.Ìý

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê NextÌýChapterÌýTutorsÌý(³¢¾±³Ù±ð°ù²¹³¦²â)

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê NextÌýChapter is a 12-week tutoring programme for Year 7 state school pupils from underrepresented backgrounds in London. The programme has been developed by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Access and Widening Participation teamÌýwith the aim of increasing pupils skill and confidence in reading, through weekly tutoring sessions delivered by trained Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Tutors. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Tutors will deliver weekly in-school tutoring sessions to small groups of Year 7 pupilsÌýby following a lesson plan of engaging activities based around reading. These resources have been created by our partner organisation, The National Literacy Trust.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê NextÌýChapter TutorsÌýwill play a fundamental role in encouraging students participation with reading skills and supporting their learning in a creative and personalised way.
