The Access and Widening Participation Office offers many opportunities for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê students to get involved with our work.
Our programmes could not run without dedicated students offering their time and expertise.
Working with us is a great way for you to develop transferable skills, such as communication, leadership and self-confidence, and to get involved in the local community. You'll also have the chance to meet other Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê students from a wide range of courses and backgrounds, and have a lot of fun!
Many of our projects work specifically with school students from under-represented groups. We aim to increase the proportion of students from state schools, from low socio-economic backgrounds and from neighbourhoods with low rates of participation in higher education.Â
Most of the school students that we work with are from non-selective state schools and have no family history of higher education, and many are from ethnic minority backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from current Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê students from similar backgrounds to these school students, as they can be powerful role models.
