Joint webinar with Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

In May 2021, the Global Delivery Group supported a joint webinar between the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Institute of Healthcare Engineering and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

Professor Shervanthi Homer-Vanniasinkam, (Professor of Surgery and Engineering in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Mechanical Engineering, consultant vascular surgeon at Leeds Infirmary,Ìýand delivery group member) provided the opening remarks, detailing her perspective as a clinician-academic.Ìý

Researchers from both institutions shared their work in this field of healthcare engineering, from nano-sensors to tissue regeneration.Ìý

Global Healthcare Engineering Symposium 2020

In November 2020, the Global Delivery Group organised a showcase of global healthcare engineering at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê. The two-day, virtual event explored the importance of international partnerships, and practical ways of making these partnerships happen. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê researchers provided case studies of succesful global collaboration, and we also heard from funders and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê support teams that enable this to happen.Ìý

Growing partnerships with IndiaÌý2019-20

Over the past couple of years, in collaboration with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Global Engagement Office, we have been growing our partnership with colleagues in India, in particular the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi.
