'Engineering' usually brings to mind images of bridgesÌýand buildings. Healthcare engineering is essentially using maths and science to solve healthcare problems.ÌýThis covers an incredibly broad range of activities – from 3D-printedÌýprosthetic limbsÌýto artificial intelligence to predict cancer.

Alice is the Communications & Impact Manager for the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Insitute of Healthcare Engineering (IHE). Her job involves sharing all the amazing work with the wider world and equipping researchers with the skills they need to communicate confidently with the public.

Cerys Bradley

Cerys Bradley
Cerys is an award-winning writer, comedian and podcast producer. They studied for their PhD in the Crime and Security Department at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê and learned to make podcasts as a student here. They have worked on multiple Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê projects including #Made@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, Coronavirus: the Whole Story and Building Better and have taught podcasting both at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê and at podcasting events such as the London Podcast Festival.Ìý
