听You are warmly invited to join听the听UNESCO Chairs Seminar,听Decolonizing the Teaching and Learning of Africa's History听on听Wednesday 25 October 2023, 15:00-16:30听(Paris time), with simultaneous interpretation in English, French and Spanish.听
This Seminar will discuss听the听different perspectives听and approaches towards听decolonizing the teaching and learning of Africa鈥檚 history across education systems, touching upon topics such as the development of听knowledge commons and indigenous knowledge-based systems,听and implications for听teacher education institutes, curriculum and pedagogical transformation,听and the use of African languages.

This is the second in the series of 听on听Transforming Knowledge for Africa's Future.听This Series provides transdisciplinary spaces at the intersection of research and policy for UNESCO Chairs, UNITWIN Networks, and other specialists, to engage intellectually with the themes of the 听of UNESCO鈥檚听听(2022-2029).
