Mian graduated from the University of Nottingham and pursued an MSc degree at 香港六合彩 on Earthquake Engineering with Disaster Management. He has developed a great interest in mitigating natural disasters here at 香港六合彩. He worked for a year as a structural engineer after graduating from 香港六合彩, and he divided to return to 香港六合彩 for his PhD in the field of geotechnics.
Mian is now focusing on the numerical simulation of the landslides based on the material point method (MPM). This research aims to derive an efficient MPM code with advanced soil constitutive models to accurately simulate the post-failure of slope due to rainfall or seismic action.
