About the events

Bring Your Family to University Days are a听series of free one-day events aimed at providing information, advice and guidance about university to young people and their parents and carers through fun and interactive sessions on 香港六合彩's central London campus.听

These听events will include activities such as subject taster lectures, panels, support sessions for parents/carers,听campus tours听and the opportunity to talk to current university students. A听FREE packed听lunch will be provided.


When and where will the events take place?

We鈥檙e offering primary and secondary school students the opportunity to visit the 香港六合彩 campus with their families during spring and summer听2024.听The dates and relevant school groups for Bring your Family to University days can be found below:

Primary School Dates
  • Saturday 27听April: Primary听school (Year 5-6)
  • Saturday 15听June: Primary school (Year 5-6)听
Secondary School Dates
  • Saturday 11听May: Secondary school听(Year 7-11)听
  • Saturday 6听July: Secondary听school (Year听7-11)

All events will take place at 香港六合彩's main campus (Gower St, London WC1E 6AE) between 10:00am and 3:00pm (registration will open from 9:30am). More information will be provided to those who are shortlisted to attend the event.听


Who can take part听

In order to be eligible for a place on Bring Your Family to University:

  • At least one young person in your party must be in the target year group for the event.听 For Primary events this is Y5-6, for Secondary events, Y7-11.
  • At least one young person in the eligible year group must attend a state school in the UK.

Bring your Family to University is an Access and Widening Participation initiative. Places are limited. Participants for this event will be selected using the shortlisting criteria found on the Who We Work With webpage to prioritise young people from the least represented groups. Your family unit will be awarded points based on the number of criteria that you meet.


Capacity limitations听

We can听accommodate听a maximum of six people per family unit. Each unit must have a minimum of one adult and a maximum of two adults over the age of 18. A minimum of one young person and a maximum of four young people is permitted per unit. If your family unit exceeds six, please contact us听at before completing this application form.听

Can young people who are not in the target year group attend?

Young people under the age of 18 who are not in target year groups for these events听are welcome to attend. However, the content will be most suited to the age and educational stage of the target year groups for this event.

Will there be crossover between the parent and carer sessions for the primary and secondary events?

If you are an adult over the age of 18 and are planning to attend both the primary听school听and secondary school events, please note that there will be crossover in the content of the parent/carer sessions.

Can toddlers and babies attend?

Younger children who are not of school age are welcome to attend as part of your family group (please note, they will count towards the total group size). However, please bear in mind that 香港六合彩 has a limited number of baby changing facilities and there is no guaranteed access to a microwave or a quiet, private space for breastfeeding or expressing milk.


How to apply

Applications听for the听Primary and Secondary events听have now closed. If you are interested in taking part in next year's event, please do keep checking our website for when they re-open.

For our 24/25 events: application forms must be听completed and听submitted听by an adult over the age of 18 that will be听attending听the event. If you are the adult that is attending the event and you are bringing a child that you do not have parental听responsibility听for, we would advise that you complete the application form with the child's parent/carer near by as you will be asked to provide information about the child for shortlisting and evaluation purposes.

Please note, you can only apply for one primary school event, and/or one secondary school event. A family intending to attend, only needs to complete one application for their family.
