Strategic work with schools

Current initiatives include our work with the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Academy, the creation of a school governors network and a consultative sixth form panel.

We work strategically with schools and colleges, including the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Academy, to improve transition from school to university, inform our teaching practices and deliver the best possible learning outcomes for our students.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Academy

We were the first university in the country to be the sole sponsor of an academy – a non-selective mixed state school in our home borough of Camden.

School Governors Network

We are developing a support and training network for the many Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê staff who serve as governors of schools and colleges.

See below for more information.

Sixth form panel

We have established a consultative panel of sixth formers from a range of schools across London, to help us scrutinise and improve our policy and practice.

More information coming soon.

  • link governors to the latest research and ideas from the IOE, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Faculty of Education and Society,Ìýto enhance their knowledge and confidence to challenge and innovate
  • be positive ambassadors for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê with schools and colleges and ensure governors have information about relevant Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê activities, such as undergraduate open days and IOE short courses, to share with their schools or college.
