Whether you're looking to find out more about Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's sustainability work, are interested in getting involved, or are already a Green Champion, come along to this informal session at the Engineering Café to meet like-minded staff and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's existing Green Champions.
Green Champions are staff volunteers who work to make Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê a more sustainable institution, largely though the Green Impact programme: a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê-wide environmental competition and accreditation scheme allowing departments and divisions to improve their environmental impact. The Champions have catalysed new initiatives that are now being adopted across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, from paperless meetings, to more sustainable travel policies and stair climbing competitions. Come along to meet the award-winning people behind projects like the Powered by Plants campaign, which has embedded vegetarian catering across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, or the Ear Institute's rooftop garden, 'It's good up EAR'!
This event is part of 28 Days of Sustainability: 4 weeks filled with sustainability-themes events, workshops and activities from all across the university.
