MA students are exploring the relationship international development has with education planning, economics, gender and health promotion.

Through听the听four听MA听programmes听offered by听the听香港六合彩 Institute of Education鈥檚 Centre for Education听&听International Development听(EID),听students听can听advance their听knowledge and听understanding of issues related to听Sustainable Development Goal听4:听Quality Education, while engaging with themes from a number of other SDGs.听

鈥淭he four programmes offer a unique combination of opportunities to study education in the context of international development, opportunities not offered elsewhere in the UK or globally,鈥� says听Dr Ian Warwick, Programme Leader听for the EID鈥檚听MA听in Education, Health Promotion and International Development.听

While听developing their understanding of the听broader听theories and concepts of education and international development, students are able to follow their particular interest by听focusing on听areas such as: gender听inequalities听and sexualities; promoting health and wellbeing; economics of education: educational planning; conflict, emergencies and peacebuilding; researching education in the context of international development.听听

Students听enrolled on the听MAs听explore the relationship between education and wider social processes in contexts of poverty and inequality, and critically examine relevant contemporary policy听and practice-related听issues听

All four MAs provide students with an opportunity to conduct a small -scale research study of relevance to their own interests 鈥� with the MA听Education, Gender and International Development; MA Education, Health Promotion and International Development and MA Economics, Educational Planning and International Development enabling students to specialise in one of these fields.听听
