Professor Sofia Olhede, jointly with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and the Berlin Big Data Centre, organised a joint Germany/UK Big Data Meeting at the Smart Data Forum in Berlin on 1 March 2017. Professor Patrick Wolfe was also part of the delegation, and spoke of Big Network Data, and was further joined by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê colleague Professor Harry Hemingway from the London Farr Institute, as well as colleagues from Imperial College London, and the Food Standards Agency. The Berlin Big Data Centre is part of a 30 million Euro investment by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research to support Industry 4.0, and the initiative established two centres for Big Data and IT security.
