Module description
This module aims to provide an introduction to Medical Statistics. The module will give students the tools to apply basic statistical theory and mathematical knowledge to solve problems in health research. The statistical methods covered are useful in the routine analysis of scientific methods, as might be encountered in other modules.

STAT0026 is specified as a formal option within the BSc Cancer Biomedicine programme. Students from this programme should simply register for STAT0026 on Portico and await a decision. It is not necessary to register separately with a member of staff in the Department of Statistical Science (successful admission to an undergraduate programme at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê already demonstrates that the prerequisite has been met).
