Report (suspected) asbestos

If you discover or suspect you鈥檝e found asbestos anywhere on 香港六合彩 premises, you must report it.听

香港六合彩 have a stringent Asbestos Management Plan and safety policies designed to effectively manage the asbestos materials.

Before you start

You听must stop working if you discover听or suspects the presence of asbestos-containing materials.听

The only satisfactory way of identifying the presence and type of asbestos is to examine a bulk sample of material by X-ray diffraction or by microscopy. This must be carried out by an听香港六合彩 approved asbestos consultant who will update the asbestos records accordingly.听

You,听or your manager,听will need听to have听access to the asbestos register.听

1. Check if there's an asbestos label If you see an asbestos label and the asbestos doesn't appear to be听damaged, you don't need to report it.

Some of 香港六合彩鈥檚 premises were built or refurbished at a time when the use of asbestos-containing materials was common.
The presence of asbestos material in itself does not constitute a danger听if it is well managed and in good condition.
Normal day-to-day activities within 香港六合彩's buildings are unlikely to cause any asbestos disruption.听听

If you see an asbestos label and the asbestos doesn't appear to be听damaged, you don't need to report it.

2. Check the Asbestos register Check the NexGen database to see if someone has听reported the听asbestos already. You may need to request access.听

Once confirmed, you can self-register on NexGen via the link above

If asbestos has already been reported, you do not need to do anything else.听

3. Book an asbestos survey If you would like an asbestos contractor to inspect any suspected asbestos, please fill out the Asbestos Survey Request form听and email it听to听estates.asbestos@ucl.ac.uk
