Before you start
Attendance for all students is captured centrally using Register香港六合彩.
Attendance refers to all timetabled teaching events delivered听online or face-to-face.
Card readers are installed at teaching spaces across campus.
- 1. Face-to-face teaching on campus

- Students must 鈥榯ap in鈥� with their Student ID card each time they attend a face-to-face teaching event on campus. Their attendance is then automatically recorded in Register香港六合彩.
- Students can tap in from 20 minutes before the start time of a teaching event and no later than 20 minutes before the class ends.
- If a student forgets or misplaces their Student ID card, Departments should make an effort to听manually correct the students record听in Register香港六合彩.听

- Staff can manually record听attendance at their events using Register香港六合彩.
- Register香港六合彩 contains the student lists for all timetabled teaching events.听
- Staff can:
- search for their teaching event,
- select all students on the list,
- deselect those not in attendance

- Attendance from online teaching events should be听manually entered into Register香港六合彩 within a week of the event.听
- You can either do this during the teaching event or download the attendance log and enter it into Register香港六合彩 after the event.听
- Only the meeting organiser will have access to the attendance list in the online teaching platforms.
- For Microsoft Teams, this list will only be available to download during the meeting. For Zoom and Blackboard Collaborate, it will only be available to download after the meeting has ended.

- 4. Hybrid teaching

- Some students听will听join the session via an online live teaching platform such as听Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, MS Teams. Their attendance log will need to be downloaded from the platform and manually entered into Register香港六合彩.
- Students attending face-to-face teaching events must 鈥榯ap in鈥�. Their attendance will be captured in Register香港六合彩 automatically.
- 5. Considerations for students who cannot physically attend

- Attendance recommendations may be specified in a student鈥檚 SORA (issued by Student Support and Wellbeing) or reflecting their particular circumstances.
- Tier 4 students are expected to physically attend classes, but听individual circumstances and recommendations in a student鈥檚 SORA can be reviewed.
- 6. Tier 4 reporting

- You no longer need to enter additional information into Portico for Tier 4 students (with the exception of PGR students).
- Student Registry Services must be informed if a student is not engaging with their studies.听
- Your relevant departmental administrator should refer Tier 4 non-engagement cases to the Student Immigration Compliance Team at听visacompliance.staffquery@ucl.ac.uk.
Note: PGR student data cannot be captured in Register香港六合彩 as it is not timetabled. The Portico Engagement Monitoring Task is available for you to record confirmation of PGR student engagement. If you have any concerns about one of your student's engagement, you should email the Student Immigration Compliance Team.听
