The Philanthropic Scholarships Toolkit outlines the process for establishing, awarding and administering a donor funded philanthropic scholarship/bursary (‘award’) at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.ÌýOffice Vice Provost Advancement (OVPA) and Student Funding Office (SFO) developed the toolkitÌýto ensure due diligence, legal compliance andÌýbest practice is applied across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.ÌýThis toolkit is divided into easy to follow tasks.

Financial support awards for students (i.e. scholarships or bursaries) are an important part of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’s student offering. To be competitive on the global stage, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê must have a diverse offering of student support available.ÌýÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê offers a range of awards that are funded both centrally and locally by academic units. Donor-funded philanthropic awards are important to supplement Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê funded awards.

Please note many of the tasks below to establish a scholarship can also be used for a centrally. departmentally or philanthropically funded award.
