Vlasta Rebrošová

VlastaÌýRebroÅ¡ováÌýhas been teaching Slovak atÌýtheÌýSchool of Slavonic and East European Studies at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê since September 2006.Ìý

She holds aÌýMaster’sÌýdegree in Teaching Slovak Language and LiteratureÌýas well asÌýItalian Language from The University of ConstantineÌýTheÌýPhilosopher in Nitra, Slovakia. Her final thesis examined 'The Second World War in Italian Literature: The Neo-Realist Experimentation in Literature'.Ìý

Vlasta worked asÌýa language teacherÌýandÌýasÌýan interpreter from Italian to Slovak andÌývice versaÌýin SlovakiaÌýbefore moving to London in 2004. In her freeÌýtimeÌýshe translatedÌýtheÌýpoetryÌýof Slovak writersÌýinto ItalianÌýlanguage.ÌýOne of the poemsÌýof a young and upÌýandÌýcoming SlovakÌýwriterÌýwasÌýtranslatedÌýinto Italian and subsequently wonÌýthe 1stÌýprizeÌýawardÌýin a competitionÌýin Italy.Ìý

In 2005ÌýVlastaÌýobtained Qualified Teacher Status in England and in 2006 the City and Guilds Certificate - 'DeliveringÌýLearning in Modern Foreign Languages'.Ìý

She is also a teacher of Spanish and Italian andÌýfeels passionate about teaching Slovak language at SSEES.ÌýÌýShe isÌýa professional and enthusiastic teacher with excellent communication skills.Ìý Vlasta prepares excellent resources for her students and adapts her teaching style and methods toÌýcorrespond to students’ aptitude.Ìý
