100 years of SSEES
"I congratulate SSEES on its many achievements and it is with pleasure that I invite SSEES friends, new and old, to celebrate its centenary in 2015" Â
In 2015 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) celebrated its centenary. One hundred years after Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, who later became the first President of Czechoslovakia, delivered the lecture that inaugurated the School, we now stand as a world-leading institution specialising in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Union.
These pages celebrate our achievements, looking both back and forward at SSEES’s success. A host of events commemorated the occasion, reflecting the diversity of the School’s activities and the countries of the SSEES region.
