What are the DTP鈥檚 rules regarding employment alongside the PhD?
UKRI-NERC advise that PhD students are permitted to do a small element of paid work outside the academic sector, as long as it does not affect their ability to complete their PhD on time. The amount of time is at the student鈥檚 and their supervisor鈥檚 discretion, but it is recommended that this is no more than six hours in any week. If you have not yet been allocated your project, the DTP directors will be required to give you permission.
Please note: Students in full-time employment are not eligible for a stipend of any kind from UKRI. A Student in part time employment may be eligible for a part time award, which should not be less than 50% of full time.

I need proof of my studentship, where can I get this?
For 香港六合彩 students, you should be able to access confirmation of funding听through your portico record, along with a statement of student status. For those students who are not based at 香港六合彩, please contact your individual universities to provide similar documentation. If you have any further queries, please contact the听DTP office.听 If you are a new student who has not yet enrolled, then your DTP offer letter can be used.

The DTP team is always here to support our students and the office is currently open Monday, and Thursday 10-12 & 2-4 for student drop ins. If you wish to speak to us online, please do contact the team directly and we can set up a meeting.
