The purpose of the Access Opportunity Scholarship is to support those, who because of their immigration status are not able to secure student loans for their higher education.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
- HoldÌýan offer of admission to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê to study a full-time undergraduate degree for 2024/25 intakeÌýand;
- Be asylum seekers, children of asylum seekers or unaccompanied asylum-seeking children who are seeking asylum in the UK orÌýforced migrants who are based in the UK and have been granted a temporary form of leave as the result of an asylum application or human rights application (e.g. limited leave to remain, discretionary leave to remain, humanitarian
protection) and; - Be unable to access student finance (tuition fee or maintenance loan) because of their immigration status.
Value, benefits, and duration
The scholarship will consist of tuition fees and an allowance of £12,000Ìýpa for the normal duration of your programme at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.Ìý Please note theÌýallowance may be reduced if your leave status has restrictionsÌýon what additional support you can receive.Ìý
Annual renewal of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
Selection
We will consider your personal &Ìýfinancial circumstances andÌýresidency status.ÌýÌýYou will need to demonstrate these in your application.
