Goldsmid Fund Bursary

The Goldsmid Fund Bursary aims to enable UK students to pursue an undergraduate degree in a STEM faculty at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must:

  • be domiciled in the UK with Home fee status;
  • be in financial need as assessed by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê;
  • hold an offer of admission to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê to study a full-time undergraduate degree in the FacultyÌýof Engineering Sciences, Medical Sciences, Brain Sciences, Mathematical & Physical Sciences orÌýLife SciencesÌýfor the 2024/25 intake.

Value, benefits, and duration

The award provides £2,500 per year for a threeÌýyear undergraduate programme and is subject to satisfactory academic progress. The awardÌýwill be paid as aÌýmaintenance allowance.

If a student on a four year undergraduate programmeÌýreceives this award, payments will be made pro rata, i.e. they will receive £1,875Ìýfor each of their four years of study.

TwoÌýawards areÌýavailable per year.


Selection

The criterion for awarding the bursary is financial need and you will need to demonstrate this in the application.


How to apply

The Goldsmid Fund BursaryÌýis one of the schemes that makeÌýup the Undergraduate Funding and Access Awards (UGFA).

Results

The UGFAsÌýwill be awarded by recommendation by a panel composed of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê staff. The successful candidates will be notified as soon as decisions are made by mid-September.Ìý
