Awareness of legionella bacteria in water systems training
This elearning training course is aimed at staff and students including Heads of Department to raise awareness of the risks from legionella in water systems that are managed by departments.
Course description
Legionnaires' disease is caused by a bacterium called Legionella pneumophila, hereafter referred to as Legionella. People catch Legionnaires' disease by inhaling small droplets of water suspended in the air which contain the bacteria.
Heads of Departments are responsible for managing the use of equipment connected to water systems, including appointing their own responsible person to help them manage the use of such water systems.
In addition to explaining the environments in which Legionella bacteria thrive听and the dangers it poses, this eLearning will also inform you about the controls 香港六合彩 has put in place to comply with relevant legislation and the role holders within 香港六合彩 Estates who oversee the management of legionella.
All safety instructor-led training courses are delivered by our team of safety experts.
Objectives
This eLearning course raises awareness of the risks from legionella in water systems that are managed by departments.
It provides information on the risks and risk factors associated with the presence of legionella in water systems, responsibilities and the required controls for prevention and management of legionella bacteria.
Target audience
Staff and students including Heads of Department.
Cost
Training courses are free to 香港六合彩 staff however your Department will be charged 拢50 if you fail to attend when booked on a course.听 Non-attendance at first aid courses will incur a higher non-attendance fee.
