Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê welcomes applications from students offering the A-levels, IB Diploma and other qualifications including the CISCE and the CBSE boards only from India.Ìý

The minimum entry requirements for undergraduate programmes at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê can be found below. However, specific entry requirements for some programmes may differ and may also be higher. You should refer to the Undergraduate prospectus which allows you to choose the relevant programme and then select your country from the list in the International Qualifications sections.

CISCE/CBSE applicants please see 'A Levels' for subject requirements. Where A* is required at A Level, 95 will be required in an examination subject; for A, 90 will be required; and for B, 85 will be required.

Minimum equivalent entry requirement for A level grades ABB

Award of one of the following will be considered:

  • The Year 12/ Standard 12 Indian School Certificate awarded by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with five subjects at 90, 85, 85, 85, 85.
  • Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor Degree at an Indian university recognised by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, with an average grade equivalent to UK 2.1 or Upper Second Class.

Graduate Entry Requirements

To be considered for admission to a Master's e.g. MA, MSc, MRes, MBA etc, we require applicants to complete a three to five year Bachelor's degree and obtain a First Class degree. The degree should be awarded by an institution recognised by the government of India and passed with the required grades. The minimum grade requirement ranges from the GPA of 6.75 – 9.0/10 or 55%-70% and depends on the degree title, grading scale and institution of prior study. You will find all the details you need in the sections below.

Admission to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê is competitive and meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission. Please note that individual departments may seek grades at a higher level.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê India Excellence Scholarship for full-time Master’s scholarships

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê India Excellence Scholarships will support thirty-three (33) Indian students with an outstanding academic record to pursue full-time Master's degree studies at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê for the 2024-25 academic year.
