Gabsile, where do you call home?

Swaziland (ESwatini)

What is your fondest memory of your time at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê?

My fondest memory of my time at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê was being able to complete my Masters completely online and the experience of serving as a course representative. ÌýDespite the physical distance, being able to connect with fellow students, advocate for our needs and facilitate communication between peers and faculty was incredibly fulfilling.ÌýIt enriched my learning journey but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration in the virtual classroom environment.

Immersed in a vibrant and collaborative learning environment, I encountered diverse perspectives that challenged my assumptions and fostered critical thinking. The supportive environment at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, complemented by additional programmes and resources, played a pivotal role in enabling me to manage the rigorous academic requirements alongside familial commitments.

A standout moment was my involvement in the AI Co-Creators summer project in 2023, which culminated in presenting a workshop at the prestigious Higher Education Symposium in Birmingham (held in February 2024). The sponsorship and backing from the ICTM department showed the programme's commitment to nurturing student initiatives.

How did your Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê degree help you get to where you are now?

My journey through the ICTM Masters in Clinical Trials and Methodology programme has been transformative, profoundly impacting my personal growth and development. The blend of rigorous completely online academic study, hands-on experiences, and access to industry leaders has endowed me with indispensable knowledge and skills crucial for advancement in my field.

Furthermore, the ongoing career guidance, connections with lecturers who are also professionals in the fields of clinical trials and methodology, and integration into the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Alumni community have provided invaluable support beyond completion of the Masters degree.
