Title:  Long Covid in Children and Young People: (mental) health findings from the CLoCK study

Abstract  The talk will present findings from the CLoCk study, a landmark research project investigating the long-term effects of COVID-19 in children and young people. Led by Professors Roz Shafran and Sir Terence Stephenson, the study provides crucial insights into the mental and physical health outcomes experienced by young people with Long Covid over a two year period. Using mixed-methods approaches, the talk will explore the prevalence and nature of persistent symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, and cognitive difficulties, with a particular focus on mental health impacts. The findings highlight the importance of integrated healthcare approaches, accurate data collection and improving access to support. The implications of the findings for research, services and training will be discussed.
