The new podcast explores the lived experiences of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’s Black staff and students through the lens of higher education.
Black Lives at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê isÌýa newÌýpodcastÌýseriesÌýamplifying and sharingÌýthe voices of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Black staff and students. In each episode,Ìýthree people fromÌýtheÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community, talk about theirÌýexperiences of race, racialisation and systemic racism, and explore whatÌýÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê needsÌýto change in order to be better. Each episode focuses on a specific group of people: academics, professional services staff and students from across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.
Black Lives at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê is hosted byÌýTundeÌýBanjokoÌýOBE, aÌýsocial justice advocate, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê alumnus and the founder of multiple initiativesÌýsuch asÌýMaking the Leap, the UK Social Mobility AwardsÌýandÌýBlack Charity Leaders.
