Smoke-Free Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê: consultation open
4 April 2019
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê is proposing a new smoking policy under the rubric ‘Smoke-Free Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê’ and will be running a consultation from 4 April–7 May.
This policy has two key components:
- Extending the area in which smoking and use of e-cigarettes is not permitted to the whole of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê estate including all public spaces and outdoor spaces.
- Providing high quality information and support for staff and students at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê who smoke to help them quit.
It is planned to implement Smoke-Free Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê from the start of the next academic year. We are now consulting the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community on the proposal so that it meets our needs and accords with our values.
More information, including FAQs and a link to the consultation documents, can be found on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê HR website.
