6 January 2016

The latest Being@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê personal developmentÌýworkshops for students are now live and ready to book for the first half of Term 2.

Quad ÌýWeeklyÌýworkshops include: mindfulness for anxiety; mindfulness for low mood; getting the most out of tutorial relationship and building confidence.

If you know of a student who might be interested in attending one of the workshops, please share the programme with them. Students can find further information about Being@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, and can book directly onto the workshops through the SPS website:Ìý'

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Student Psychological Services'ÌýBeing@Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê programme is a pilot scheme whichÌýhas been designed to help students get the most out of their time at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê: to help them to draw on their strengths and talents, and to give them the confidence they need to meet the emotional challenges of university life as they come up.Ìý Participants will be able to meet other students facing similar challenges, and will have the chance to share ideas and experiences in a supportive, confidential setting; they'll take away new practical skills that will help them make the most of their relationships with fellow students, staff and the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community. Ìý

The workshops are funded by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Access agreement and Widening Participation funds, and is a response to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's commitment to increasing the recruitment of studentsÌýwho come from groups that have traditionally been under-represented in further education.Ìý
