Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê 2034 strategy approved

17 July 2014

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Council at its meeting on 8 July approved the final draft of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê 2034 strategy, which is now available to view on-line at

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê 2034 ucl.ac.uk/ucl-2034?qa" target="_self">.

The final strategy incorporates feedback from a wide-ranging engagement exercise with staff, students and key supporters, including open consultation events, a web consultation, engagement with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Union and individual comments from members of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community.

The Provost's Senior Management Team has started work on the development of an implementation plan, to include a series of specific objectives and measures to support each Principal Theme and Key Enabler.

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê 2034 website is the primary means by which the strategy will be communicated across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê and beyond. Each Principal Theme and Enabler has its own section, with links to the key objectives outlined in the top level strategy; an outline of the approach that will be taken to implementation; some case studies to highlight current activity; and performance measures. The website will be updated on a regular basis to show progress, and more engaging imagery and audio/visual content will be developed.

Professor Michael Arthur Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê President & Provost said:

"Council approval for our new 20-year strategy is a great way to finish the academic year, and I'm grateful to everyone who took part in the engagement process.

It is quite an achievement for the organisation to develop a new strategy within a year, and that has only been possible due to the commitment of those involved and the really high quality contributions from across the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê community."
