Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê

A partnership of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, the University of Cambridge, the University of Manchester and the University of Oxford, the Centre for East European Language-Based Area Studies (CEELBAS) Centre for Doctoral Training will promote outstanding postgraduate research and top quality training in Russian, Slavonic and East European languages and culture.Ìý

With total funding of some £2,500,000, the CEELBAS CDT will lead the exploration of new directions for research and postgraduate training in this field, help the UK to realise its strategic commitment to the study of Central and Eastern Europe and Russia, and also help to promote inter-regional collaboration covering global modern languages and cultures.

Professor Zoran Milutinovic (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê School of Slavonic and East European Studies) said: "This major AHRC award is a fantastic opportunity for four leading universities to create a national hub for postgraduate research and training in the advanced study of the languages and cultures of Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.Ìý

"Led by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê School of Slavonic and East European Studies, the CEELBAS Centre for Doctoral Training is built on the success of the broader multi-disciplinary collaboration of ten universities which came together to form CEELBAS in 2006.Ìý
