Wonderments of Cosmos: a multidisciplinary conversation on cosmological horizons

30 May 2013

Twenty five places are available for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê academics and research students (PhD and MRes) to gain a unique opportunity to engage with the latest cosmology research at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.

This half-day workshop brings together scholars from across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê to present the different ways in which their work engages with the wonderments of cosmos, and explore how these may speak to each other. The event will ask questions like: How far might different approaches to cosmology provide the scope for a genuine cross-disciplinary conversation? How does the scientific study of the cosmos relate to the ways in which its wonders have been engaged in other fields, across history and in different cultural settings?

The workshop takes place from 2-6pm on Friday, 21 June in the Daryll Forde Seminar Room, 2nd Floor, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Anthropology, 14 Taviton Street.
