Digital Humanities prize workshop supports Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Connections

Funding of £5,000 has been awarded to the winning entry from the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Digital Humanities month prize workshop.
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Connections was designed by Jia Liu (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Archaeology), Emma Norris (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Epidemiology & Public Health), GeorgeÌýNeris (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Centre for Sustainable Heritage, Bartlett) and Peter Williams (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Information Studies) as part of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Digital Humanities month, supported by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Grand Challenge of Intercultural Interaction. This support was made possible thanks to an award to the Grand Challenges from the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Annual Fund, which relies on the contributions of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê alumni to support scholarships, research and work across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.

The workshop
aimed to stimulate new insight into interaction between digital technology and
the humanities, and facilitate greater collaboration between academics working
in different disciplines. Digital Humanities month was convened by Melissa
Terras, Co-director of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Centre for Digital Humanities.
