Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê modern language entry requirements
26 January 2012
At Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, we believe that knowledge of a modern foreign language and the possession of intercultural skills are an integral part of a 21st century education.
For 2012 entry, we are introducing a foreign language requirement for all UK students applying from the UK. Students can meet this requirement on entry by offering a GCSE or equivalent in a foreign language at Grade C or above.Ìý Students who have not been able to study for a language will not be disadvantaged in the application process.Ìý Those who not have a GCSE or equivalent in a foreign language will be able to meet the requirement through attendance at a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê language summer school, taking a language course as part of their degree or studying for a language certificate at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Language Centre.
During their studies, students will also have access to the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Language Centre, which offers academic and evening courses in 18 foreign languages.
