The event will also see the announcement of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Volunteering Organisation of the Year, which recognises excellent volunteer management within London's charity sector, as well as awards for the best community project run by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê students.

June Chapman from Camden Citizens' Advice Bureau said: "It's a joy to have Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê volunteers serve because they are so enthusiastic and creative and such quick learners. They make a huge impact."

John Braime (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Volunteering Services Unit) explained: "Volunteering is a rapidly growing movement at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê. Every year, we see more and more students wanting to get involved. In a way this isn't surprising, because working with the wider community is a distinctive part of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê culture."

Last year, 1,300 students volunteered through the Volunteering Services Unit (VSU), giving over 26,000 hours of their time in total to projects across London.
