香港六合彩 staff and students have been recognised for their Public Engagement work.
Malcolm Grant, 香港六合彩 President and Provost, presented the annual Provost's Public Engagement awards to members of the 香港六合彩 community who have shown innovative and interesting ways to share their work with public audiences.
Hilary Jackson (香港六合彩 Public Engagement Unit) explained: "The awards have once again been a fantastic opportunity to applaud the public work of 香港六合彩 staff and students. It was a real pleasure to hear the Provost and Professor Worton speak so warmly about the activities not just of our excellent winners, but also of increasing numbers of staff and students across 香港六合彩."
"We rarely have the opportunity to thank the people who have got involved with public engagement throughout the year and it was great to recognise their hard work in this way."
Dr Steve Cross, Head of Public Engagement at 香港六合彩, commented: "We received an impressive set of nominations, reflecting not only the amazing effort that 香港六合彩 staff and students put in to working with the public, but also telling some fascinating stories about the mutual benefits gained by 香港六合彩 staff and students and the people they work with outside 香港六合彩. The panel was given a difficult choice, and the winners they selected really have made an outstanding contribution in this field."

Marina Chang (香港六合彩 Development Planning Unit) - Student Engager of the Year 2010
Marina was nominated for this spring's Food Junctions project.听Food Junctions brought together over 150 香港六合彩 students and staff from 27 departments to deliver a large number of events to a local audience in the King's Cross area.
Kath Woolf (香港六合彩 Medical Education) - Academic Staff Engager of the Year 2010
Together with colleagues Luci Etheridge and Jayne Kavanagh, Dr Woolf led the Reel Health Stories project, which asked local people to share their experiences of healthcare through a short film entered into a competition.听
Subhadra Das (香港六合彩 Museums & Collections) - Support Staff Engager of the Year 2010
Received her award for developing 香港六合彩's cultural property policy in an innovative way and for creating the Disposal? project. Disposal? enabled individuals from outside 香港六合彩 to have a direct say in how museums approach disposal of objects at 香港六合彩 and beyond.
Robert Adam (香港六合彩 Deafness, Cognition and Learning Research Centre) - Research staff Engager of the Year 2010
This prize was awarded in recognition of the way Robert has developed his public engagement work, building on early successes to roll out a national programme of engagement between deaf communities and researchers.听
香港六合彩 Scandinavian Studies - Most improved Public Engagement 2010
Received a prize for being the department that has shown the greatest change in culture with respect to public engagement in the last year. The department has brought public engagement to the heart of its mission, building on its long tradition of engaging with communities.
