Two Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê authors in running for Royal Society Prize

  • Two authors based at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê have been included on the longlist for this year's Royal Society Prize for Science Books - the world's most prestigious award for science writing.

    Multi-award winner Professor Steve Jones (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Genetics, Evolution and Environment) has been recognised for his latest book, Darwin's Island: The Galapagos in the Garden of England.

    Joining him on the longlist of 12 is Dr Nick Lane (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Genetics, Evolution and Environment) for his exploration of the building blocks of biological science, Life Ascending.

    The shortlist will be announced in August and the winner of the £10,000 prize will be revealed at a ceremony at the Royal Society in October.
