  • The fledgling entrepreneurs of the future have taken part in a week-long training course at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.

The Engineering Front building in Torrington Place was the destination for the third annual Seedcamp event last week, which was hosted by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Advances, the university's centre for entrepreneurship and business interaction.

Seedcamp sees top venture capital investors and business leaders representing many of the leading European technology start-up companies share their expertise with students.

The occasion is an opportunity for mentoring and networking for the next generation and aims to support first-time entrepreneurs as they develop their business ideas and their confidence.

The concept was developed by Saul Klein, a successful entrepreneur and early-stage investor, and is backed by many of the leading early-stage investment companies in Europe.

Klein argues that, with abundant talent, capital, ideas and examples of success, conditions in Europe are good for launching and developing businesses.

Tim Barnes, executive director of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Advances, said: "The third annual Seedcamp was a fantastic success. Seedcamp brings together some of the very best of the next generation of talent from across Europe and this neatly complements Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's role as a global university and hub for teaching and promoting entrepreneurship."
