Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê researchers are invited to attend a 'town meeting' on 26 January 2009 to discuss opportunities to contribute to the Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities. This is the second of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Grand Challenges, forming part of the implementation of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Research Strategy, and will be launched publicly in July.

As many Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê researchers as possible are welcome, whatever your area of expertise: urban art and literature; the development and cultivation of cities; transport, water and energy; or any other area relevant to sustainable cities. Only by bringing our expertise together can we successfully address complex and systemic problems such as this.
