    The Talking Brain

    Today sees a public lecture at the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Bloomsbury Theatre in which Professor Sophie Scott (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience), with help from the impressionist Duncan Wisbey, from Alistair McGowan's 'Big Impression', will explore how the voice is perceived, and what processes the brain goes through when we speak in different voices.

    Living without a language instinct

    On Thursday, Professor Heather van der Lely (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Centre for Developmental Language Disorders & Cognitive Neuroscience) will deliver a lunchtime lecture about her research on Specific Language Impairment, which affects seven per cent of young children and can have profound effects on their development.
