Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê receives Saudi delegation

A delegation of academic leaders from Saudi Arabia - led by the Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs, Dr Mohammed Al Ohali - visited Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê on 23 January 2008.

Delegation The delegation, which included the rectors of four leading universities in Saudi Arabia, came to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê to explore possible future collaborative links.

The group met with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê President and Provost Professor Malcolm Grant, Professor Michael Worton, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Vice-Provost (Academic & International), Professor Vince Emery, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Pro-Provost for South Asia & the Middle East, and colleagues from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's International Office.

Following the meeting with the Provost and Vice-Provost, the delegation visited Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Engineering Sciences to hear a presentation by Professor Izzat Darwazeh (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Electronic & Electrical Engineering) on recent research in electronics and telecommunications networks.
