Credit Suisse and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê have organised a workshop for first-year Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê undergraduates to try their investment banking skills, on the afternoon of 27 February 2008.

Former Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê student and UK CEO Credit Suisse, Russell Chambers (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Laws 1985), said: "We wish to encourage the best students from across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê - especially arts, humanities and laws - to consider a career in investment banking."

The workshop will be held in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's brand new virtual trading floor, which has industry-standard software packages to provide the best possible introduction to investment banking IT. The floor's market data feeds are provided by Reuters using their Reuters 3000 Xtra terminal.

The workshop is limited to 30 Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê first-year students, with the best being fast-tracked to interview for a summer Internship with Credit Suisse in 2009. Subjects to be covered include an introduction to investment banking, financial instruments overview, an interactive case study and a networking reception with Credit Suisse staff.
