Entrants to the 2008/09 'Research Images as Art/ Art Images as Research' competition and exhibition are on show in the South CloistersÌý from 1-12 December 2008.
Organised by the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Graduate School, the annual competition attracts hundreds of entrants from staff and students across all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê faculties. The exhibition is a fascinating and aesthetically-pleasing glimpse of some of the diverse work conducted at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê.
The winner, chosen by a panel of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê staff, will be awarded £250, six runner-ups will receive £150 each, and the People's Choice will be awarded £50 in Waterstone's vouchers.
In addition, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Media Services, who print the entries for display, are also offering a prize this year - a bottle of champagne for their favourite image.
Winners will be announced on 4 December 2008. A gallery of all entries will appear on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Graduate School website.
