Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê on 'University Challenge'

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê students bested the University of York 220-145 in the quarter finals of 'University Challenge' broadcast on BBC Two on 19 March 2007.

Demonstrating the benefits of studying at a university with strengths across the complete range of disciplines, the team's correct answers included: "The Eurovision Song Contest", "Farting", "Deserted Medieval Villages", "Spartacus", "Roswell", "Utilitarian", "Beyond the Fringe" and "Tax Free Day".Ìý

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê team have also beaten Cambridge's Pembroke College and Girton College in this series, and will appear next in the semi-finals.
