Online voting for the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Union elections, 12-16 March

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Union general election will be taking place from Monday 12 to Friday 16 March.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊU elections All undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to vote and, for the first time, will be able to do so online.

Six sabbatical officers and ten part-time executive officers will be elected in the polls. There will also be a referendum on whether Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²ÊU should remain affiliated with the National Union of Students.

Eleanor Fletcher, the current Medical Students and Sites Officer, who is chairing the Elections Committee, said: "It is really important that students vote in these elections. The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê Union team make decisions ranging from the cost of beer in the union bar to 24-hour libraries. It is important that students elect the people they want to be taking these decisions on their behalf."

Some of the posts are hotly contested, with as many as five candidates, so individual votes are important.

All students will receive an email with details of how to vote online.
