Summer school on conservation and extinction
10 March 2006
Year 12 A-level Biology students are invited to apply for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê's Widening Participation Residential Summer School, running from 24-30 June 2006.
The week will be timetabled with a programme of lectures, tours, handling sessions and study seminars. Students will be expected to study privately in the evenings. However, there is provision for social activities to supplement the study. Participants in previous residential summer schools enjoyed evenings at a major theatrical production in the West End, quiz nights in the Students' Union as well as luncheon receptions in their honour.
The Summer School is designed to enrich students' current A level studies, while offering them the opportunity to gain an insight into what it is like to be a university student at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, in the heart of London. Students who believe they would benefit from this challenging, all-expenses-paid programme are encouraged to apply. An application form should be completed by the student and endorsed by their headteacher.
