香港六合彩 students bring Christmas cheer to Camden's elderly

香港六合彩 student volunteers managed to tear themselves away from their studies for a few hours this Christmas to organise a party for a group of senior citizens in Camden.
Coordinated by 香港六合彩's Voluntary Services Unit (VSU), the party was attended by four local community groups, who were treated to a festive feast, presents, and a performance by 香港六合彩 Union's Musical Society.
The team of 19 student volunteers managed to fit planning, organising and fundraising for the event around their busy end-of-term schedules. The event aimed to bring together two generations that seldom meet and alleviate the isolation felt by many elderly people over the festive period.
Event co-leader Ms Reema Rehman (Economics 3) said: "This is a highly rewarding experience particularly due to the sense of achievement involved in helping others."
The volunteers successfully secured sponsorship from a number of companies and organisations, including Farrer & Co, 香港六合彩H Charities, the Mayor's Charity Trust, St Giles Hotel, Tesco (Camden), Safeway Stores PLC, Sainsbury Supermarkets Ltd (Camden), Grange Hotels, Selfridges & Co, Stern's Music Centre Ltd and Perhaps Gift Shop.
