Princess Royal opens new student accommodation; Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê residences win Hospitality Assured accreditation
9 February 2004
The Princess Royal opened new student residences on the old site of the Royal Free Hospital on 4 February 2004.
Professor John Foreman, Dean of Students at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê, said: "This building is part of a wider strategy to increase the number of high quality, affordable student residences within close proximity of the main campus."
At the opening, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê was awarded Hospitality Assured accreditation, an important indicator of the quality of the service in residences that Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê provides to its students. The building was designed by architects Fielden Clegg Bradley, who have already received an award for their use of copper in the building.
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê student residences are also open to the public during summer vacations,
providing inexpensive central London accommodation, from single and twin study
rooms to self-contained flats, catered or self-catered.
