19 August 2004
Open House London is a unique annual event that takes place across the capital each September, providing free access to five hundred buildings of architectural and community interest to the general public.
Visitors to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê will be guided through tours around the historic Front Quad, the Portico and the Cloisters, which contains the mummified remains of the philosopher Jeremy Bentham. They will also be shown around the Strang Print Room, the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology and around the Grant Museum of Zoology & Comparative Anatomy, which will be offering mask- and model-making.
Open House London is part of Open House, a registered educational charity devoted to London, its architecture, inhabitants and visitors. Founded in 1992 and functioning as a charity since 1997, Open House uses London as a living architectural exhibition with enormous opportunities for education and enjoyment.
