 ultra-high vacuum diffusion setup

CNIE’s PhD student Maria Mourkou has published a research article in Reaction Chemistry & Engineering titled "." This study introduces an innovative diffusion setup designed to investigate Knudsen diffusion—a key process relevant in mesoporous materials under low-pressure conditions. This fundamental work is expected to have significant implications in catalysis, material science, and chemical reaction engineering. The work was a collaborative effort between the vacuum technology expert Sander Baltussen and CNIE researchers including PhD student Maria Mourkou, former PhD student Dr. Haiyue Yu, instrument technician Nicholas Snead, research fellow , and CNIE Director Prof. Marc-Olivier Coppens. Funding from EPSRC and from Synfuels China sponsoring this research is gratefully acknowledged.
