Dr Nisa (Swinburne University, Australia) joined CNIE for International Hydrogen Research Fellowship

Dr Nisa CNIE Visit

CNIE is pleased to announce a successful three-week visit of , Senior Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia as part of her . This fellowship aims at fostering global collaboration and advancing hydrogen research.

Dr Salim is renowned for her expertise in functional materials and composites, particularly in applications related to energy storage and structural health monitoring. During her time at CNIE, she focused on carbon fibres and characterised them using various advanced techniques, including physisorption methods, thermal analysis, and Small-Angle X-ray Scattering techniques.

Working closely with CNIE researchers, Dr Salim's efforts were directed towards the goal of enhancing hydrogen storage technologies. During the visit, she also learned the principles of the nature-inspired solutions methodology, further enriching her research approach.

Additionally, Dr Salim delivered , sharing her insights on navigating a career in engineering and research. Her presentation offered valuable perspectives and encouragement to aspiring female engineers.
