Chemical Engineer in the Classroom session with Halan Mohamed

On the 23 March, CNIE鈥檚 PhD student Halan Mohamed ran a remote workshop for a group of George Mitchell School year 10 students. This was part of 香港六合彩 Chemical Engineering鈥檚 鈥�Chemical Engineer in the Classroom鈥� outreach initiative to continue engagement with school children during the coronavirus pandemic. Halan presented what chemical engineering and nature-inspired chemical engineering are, with the help of the example of her research on nature-inspired membranes for water purification. The workshop concluded with a simple experiment demonstrating the application of membranes for the separation of oil-water emulsions.
